Upgrade firmware of Equalogic PS4000XV, in production time...

I have a VCenter, and 3 ESX working on the luns of the equalogic, but the firmware of Equalogic isnt up date, the actually version of the firmware is 4.3.0, and i need upgrade to the version 4.3.5 L1... i allready read the manual of the upgrade, i need know some considerations berfore the upgrade, and know if the upgrade can damage the virtual machines?
