iDRAC & ITA - How can I get it show up under RAC Devices ?
Oct 19 2008, 7:15 PM EDT
using ita 8.2 ita can see the cmc & correctly places this in the device tree. BUT all the iDRAC's remain unknowen.
Also if I use the "troble shooting" tools the drac falis the snmp test . I have tested by setting both ends to the same (eg ita & idrac to a snmp name of "test" & then "public" )
No joy .

Which system ? Latest firmware installed ?

Are you sure the SNMP settings are correct on the iDRAC ? - check this thread on the Dell Community Forums, that may be of assistance --> http://www.dellcommunity.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=pes_othersft&message.id=1982&query.id=22812#M1982

The answer to this is to enable the IPMI device discovery setting with account set to root/calvin (or another valid drac account)
This is because the idrac does not support snmp reads.

The idracs now show under "modular" as part on the m1000e - wow
