Does Using Microsoft's SCVMM 2008 to Initiate a VMware VMotion negate the need for VirtualCenter? Or does simply mean that VMM is talking o VC? 4  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

SCVMM is communicating with Virtual Center to initiate a VMotion. You still need virtual center when using SCVMM to do VMotion with ESX hosts.
