Switching to Dell OpenManage
Apr 29 2008, 11:09 AM EDT Hi, as part of the Dell Advanced Systems Group (System Consultants), I would be interested in knowing when DELL will be able to manage HP systems. (HP Insight Manager can manage Dell PowerEdge in a minimal fashion) This is most often mentioned by HP. Although our System Management is excellent and easy to use and deploy, we currently lack the capability to Manage HP systems...If we had this, now that would be a show stopper! 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Since you brought it up now, I went ahead and made a page with some resources on it : http://www.delltechcenter.com/page/Managing%20non-Dell%20Servers%20with%20ITA ITA can manage HP servers today. The page I referenced has links to two articles that were published in PowerSolutions magazine that show how it can be done. I'll be doing it to our HP DL385 in the lab and showing more details.
