SQL 2008 Filestream
Mar 26 2008, 10:08 AM EDT Has anyone worked with SQL 2008 Filestream yet? We're working on a web-based filestream project where we'd use Poweredge servers and a PowerVault MD3000i. Once the MD3000i was full we'd start adding more. Thanks. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: SQL 2008 Filestream
Mar 28 2008, 5:05 PM EDT I haven't had the chance yet to work with SQL Server 2008 Filestream. It sounds like a very compelling technology that allows for BLOBs to be "in" the database, but leverage an NTFS type filesystem. I found a couple of blogs that had some great info (including performance testing) and I have included the URLs below. http://www.sqlskills.com/blogs/paul/2008/03/09/SQLServer2008FILESTREAMPerformance.aspx http://coolthingoftheday.blogspot.com/2008/03/sql-server-2008-filestream-writing-file.html http://blogs.msdn.com/rdoherty/archive/2007/10/12/getting-traction-with-sql-server-2008-filestream.aspx What resources have you found for working with SQL 2008 Filestream? In terms of using the MD3000i - I would expect that it should work fine. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
