MD3000i RHEL 5 Xen Cluster
Dec 1 2007, 9:47 AM EST
I am interested in using the MD3000i to build a RHEL 5 Xen virtual server farm. Will the MD3000i work with RHEL Cluster Suite ? 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I've asked some of our Xen experts to respond to your question. They are out this week but you ought to see a reply here in a few days.

Thanks, Dave

Here's the word from our technical guys: We soon plan to support MD3000i with RHEL5.1. Red Hat has stated that the RHEL 5 clustering will work with Xen, however, since Dell has not tested the RHEL 5 clustering with Xen and with the MD3000i, we can't confirm that this all works together. 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Hi,
Yes, Dell is now not able to support RHEL 5.1 with MD3000i, but we found a sollution to handle this issue.
For interest please look at this private Wiki

The post is written in german but could also usefull for non german.

Greetings - I ran across this today, and wanted to mention that Dell now has cluster support for the MD3000i and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Here is the link:

Thanks
