General Notes
Solaris runs well on Dell PowerEdge servers. Currently, PowerEdge servers are split into two groups:
-
PowerEdge servers certified by Sun on behalf of Dell for running Solaris 10. These servers are fully supported by Dell and listed on HCL for Solaris OS under OEM and System Vendor Products.
-
PowerEdge servers certified thorugh the Sun HCL entries for running Solaris (limited support by Dell)
