VMware Vmotion Demonstration Using Dell PowerEdge Servers (3MB)

This demonstration uses Vmotion to migrate a running virtual server workload from one Dell PowerEdge Blade server to another. The migration happens in real time with no downtime of the virtual server. The virtual server migration in this demo occurs in 41 seconds.

Using the DVD Store Application, workload is generated on a VMware DRS cluster to create an unbalanced environment. DRS recognizes this unbalance and migrates the VM using Vmotion to another ESX Host in the cluster that has free resources.
