Dell Management ConsoleThis is a featured page

The Dell™ Management Console powered by Altiris™ from Symantec™ is Dell’s next-generation systems management software. Dell Management Console replaces and has significant enhancements over the Dell OpenManage™ IT Assistant. It is complimentary and provides features such as configurable dashboards, graphical reports, role-based security, hierarchical software deployment, MIB Import for management of events from non-Dell devices, one-to-many hardware configuration wizards, and enhanced scalability through a remote database infrastructure.

Tigerhead73 How to get useful email alerts? 4 Jul 7 2010, 11:29 AM EDT by jsiergiej
Thread started: May 28 2010, 7:16 AM EDT  Watch
I've got DMC 1.1 running.
We want to have an email alert when a critical alert occurs, giving us detailed information what is going on.

Our email setup is working. But the information in it is quite useless.
I used the following tokens:

The alert from %!MONITOR_AGENT_NAME!%
was received at %!MONITOR_EVENT_TIME!% with
description: %!MONITOR_METRIC_INFO_HTML!%

But the only information I've got from the email is: (after a reboot from a server)

The alert from (Computername) was received at 28-5-2010 13:09:46 with description:
Device Primary Health .1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.1.200.10.1.1="1": 30

Do I need a different token instead of the MONITOR_METRIC_INFO_HTML to get useful information?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

I just installed the DMC and discovered almost all my dell server.

apparently the Dell Agent Health status is not present on the Dell Device details pages.

All my Dell servers have the OpenManage installed, shall I need to activate something else ?

thanks for your time.

Steve

rvandewa Unable to add to Organizational Group 2 May 7 2010, 3:30 PM EDT by robcox
Thread started: May 3 2010, 3:55 PM EDT  Watch
I am unable to add a discovered resource to an organizational group from the resource manager or the Dell Organizational View. I get the pop up window that shows the hierarchical view and am able to drill down to where I want to add the resource, but clicking the group does nothing. Am I doing something wrong?
